What is the UniPlug?

		The Unversal Plug (UniPlug™) system allows you to "plug into" the On Board Diagnostics 2 (OBD2 / EOBD) style diagnostic connector now found on all later model vehicles.
		Left is a typical OBD2 shaped diagnostic connector, generally found under the drivers dash. The EOBD connector is very similar.
		The UniPlug™ (pictured to the left) converts the different vehicle signals and protocols into codes and data that is displayed on your screen. Think of the UniPlug™ as a "universal language translator", converting the lanuage of the vehicle into your language.

The Rennacs™ UniPlug™ is the worlds first OBD2 / EOBD code reading tool capable of complete expansion via software to cover Engine, Transmission, ABS and Airbag systems. The UniPlug is an option to add onto the Code Reader system.

The difference between the CodeReader™ and the UniPlug™ system is that the CodeReader™ (manual or automatic systems) reads the Flash Codes or Slow Codes, while the UniPlug system reads the SERIAL DATA codes that the CodeReader™ (manual or automatic systems) cannot read.

For example the CodeReader™ (manual or automatic systems) can read Flash codes from all Asian vehicles with Airbags except Mitsubishi and Hyundai vehicles, as Mitsubishi and Hyundai Airbags are Serial Data codes only. Therefore we have developed UniPlug software to cover the Mitsubishi and Hyundai Airbags as well as many other systems.

Together the CodeReader™ and UniPlug™ systems compliment each other to give virtually complete Japanese and Korean vehicle code coverage.

The Rennacs™ UniPlug™ system will read both Generic and Manufacturer specific fault codes.

The UniPlug™ Generic EOBD / OBD2 software covers ALL Generic EOBD / OBD2 vehicle protocols as follows:
